Testing for skater level is based on ISI testing protocol. Test Sessions are scheduled periodically through the year. The week prior to testing, test slips will be given to those skaters who the coaches feel are ready to advance to the next level. Skaters advance at their own rate. Test slips serve as notification that the skater will be tested the following week.
Test slips should be turned into the Test Coordinator on the day of testing prior to going on the ice. Testing will be done during the hour each skater is scheduled to skate. Occasionally, the need arises to overlap into the next hour because of an unusually large number of testers.
After testing, each skater will be given a copy of their test sheet by the Testing Instructor. These sheets should be turned into the Test Coordinator who will give the skater his/her badge.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to stop by the desk to speak with the Test Coordinator or any of the officers of the Viking Skating Club.
